JOB TITLE: Polymeric Extrusion Engineer
OCCUPATION: 17-2141 Mechanical
Engineers, or 17-2041 Chemical Engineers
Zone 4, SVP 7, 2-4 years.
JOB DUTIES: Performs CFD
simulations and refines multicomponent extrusion processes to improve fiber
uniformity for commercial production of synthetic fibers. Analyses polymer properties under
high stress conditions, optimizing material performance through theoretical and
experimental insights. Develops tailored
situations to study polymer interactions, trouble shoot inefficiencies, and
implement innovative solutions. Integrates
simulations with real world trouble shooting, optimizing system layouts,
cooling processes, and operational efficiency.
Enhances air flow and temperature control in fiber production, ensuring
system reliability and uniform quality. Designs and evaluates structural
components and machine parts, ensuring durability, stability, and safety in
operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical
Engineering;
2. 24 months experience analyzing multicomponent
synthetic fiber extrusion processes, using ANSYS Fluent and ANSYS Polyflow for polymer processing and viscoelastic flow
modelling.
3. No travel required.
